Friendly Rivalries

ISSR and SIS have always competed in friendly games in several different sports ranging from football to basketball and more. On Friday the 22nd January they played each other once again. This time it was indoor football. Everyone knew what was at stake and everyone was motivated to win that game.

SIS started off strong with the first touch, however throughout the first half the ball went back and forwards between the two teams. At the end of the first half ISSR were able to pull off a small lead but not too much. The score was 2-1.

As the second half began, SIS were in a tight situation where the possession of the ball seemed to be in favour of the ISSR team. As the game went on, goals were scored by both teams. Unfortunately, in the end ISSR were able to pick up the momentum giving them the victory with a 5 goals to our 2.

As always the SIS fans were there to support the team,  even though it ended as a loss. You can’t win them all. It might have been a loss but there are always more games to win!

Stine from the  SIS  team said: “Our team put in a great effort, and despite the loss we had a lot of great things to take away from the match. Everyone stayed highly motivated throughout the match, even when things were not going so expected, which just goes to show that the spirit of the team is so high at all times.”
