“Heroes” is a TV show that shined in its first seasons, but unfortunately declined in its later ones due to lack of viewership. However, this does not mean that it was a bad show. In fact, it might have been one of the most thought out ones as it brought up certain hidden concepts in its four seasons. If you happen to be a fan of the supernatural, or of drama induced conflict, I can almost promise you that “Heroes” is a must watch.
Plot: “Heroes” tells the story about different people from around the world, as they all one day, find out that they have abilities they’ve never had before. Little by little, as they begin to discover the extent of their powers, they all end up in different areas of the United States. Without knowledge of the purpose of their powers, these people slowly begin to understand what they must do. Examples of their powers are self-healing, flying, teleportation and time manipulation, absorption of powers, telekinesis and several others. However, the main antagonist of the show, Sylar, (Zachary Quinto) is thirsty for power and is deliberately hunting these people down in order to gain the utmost strength.
Now this might sound like a very cliché superhero series with many special effects that overflow the show. This is not the case. I highly recommend this show as it stays away from a childish approach and looks at the concept more directly. “Heroes” will provide drama, moments of excitement, tension and especially a yearning to be like Hiro (the person with teleportation and time manipulation. I am not even joking; if there was only one reason to see “Heroes” it would be him).
