Behind The Scenes
January 20, 2017
Behind the debates and discussions, there are certain people at work trying to make everything work.
We have the Press team responsible for putting out articles. Others such as Elle S. and Phillipe G. are responsible for food and snacks and their distribution to the delegates and teachers. As Elle told us, there are more delegates present this year compared to last year, and Elle makes sure there is enough food to keep everyone happy. As a delegate or a chair, you might have also seen Bakang N. and Leandro T. as they conduct interviews and make videos to record this significant event for prosperity.
The debates are just the tip of the iceberg. As you enjoy meeting new people and having meaningful debates, don’t forget to appreciate everyone who made this possible. The Secretary General, Kresmir K, explained to us the multitudes of roles the SIS students and staff took upon, and expressed his gratitude for the students who have collaborated to get this day on the road.
Roles include taking care of the ambassadors, communicating with other schools, taking photographs, doing administrative jobs, and in the case of head of logistics Aaron L making sure the delegates are in the right committees.
There are many others who we haven’t mentioned by name, but are as equally important to the successful launch of SISMUN.
Behind the student team, is of course Ms. Schmidt the MUN coordinator for the DP. She is the person who ultimately gives the student the tools to make this happen.
Julia V is responsible for for grade 6 and 7 in the main building, being the Director general of SISMUN mini. She reports the enthusiasm of the young students who are rotating through a variety of activities today.
