Water Brings Student Together

At the end of March, 5 students from SIS  went on an Erasmus trip to Czech Republic. The topic of the trip was water. Throughout the trip we did a lot of activities related to water and learned about water in other countries taking part in the project.

We arrived in Prague and spent two days sightseeing. There we met students from other countries. They were from Sweden, Poland, Spain, Romania, Turkey and France. After Prague we went to a town called Novy Jicin. There we met Czech students and the families that we would be staying with. Living with Czech families gave us an opportunity to get to know their culture from the inside and see how their life at home looks like.

During the trip we did a lot of sightseeing in Novy Jicin and other nearby towns. We learned a lot about Czech Republic and discovered what a beautiful country it is. We spent all the time with other students so we could make some new friends from different countries. Unfortunately, during trips Czech students were always in separate group so we only got to spend time with them in the evenings.

The topic of our trip was water. We did some activities related to that. One day we did water experiments. It showed us that water has a lot of different properties and can be used in many different ways. Although the experiments were quite fun, we got the impression that they were more suitable for much younger children.

Overall, we liked the trip. We were able to meet great people and make new friends. We spent time with other students from different countries and had fun. Thanks to the trip, we saw a country that we wouldn’t otherwise have a chance to get to know, and we were able to learn about the importance of water.
