Sixth graders sing, dance and generally wow audiences!

We have a new team member at the QQ.  Junior reporter – Fanni in grade 6.  She will report about events in school from her point of view as a 6th grader.  Here is her version of the Language Fair.

The 6th graders learnt and performed in 3 languages. These languages were Swedish, Spanish and French. Some EAL students made some new international foods for us to enjoy.

The Swedish group made a Swedish Fika performance with Astrid Lindgren characters such as Ronja Rövardotter, Pippi Långstrump, Mio, Jonatan, Skorpan and many other fun characters. As there weren’t enough people in 6 or 7th grade to perform this individually, they cooperated and performed a wonderful Fika with also some food for audience to try. Fika is the Swedish word for coffee/tea time.

The French group  performed a fashion show with explanation  in French. The students accomplished this in an awesome way, which even made many people from the audience say ”wow.” The French students even made us a fun surprise for the end. This surprise was a song that the students sang and danced in a fantastic show. The song was about the parts of our body and it was very interesting for the audience to listen and watch.

The Spanish group performed an old classic – The Night In The Museum. The students made a lot of action in the show so the audience could understand the story and even understand some Spanish words. The show was dramatic and had a lot of discussion with the audience and some parts were translated to English. The students made this beautiful story into an awesome story with the most important highlights of the tale.
