We wish you all a Happy New Year!

Yes, we know that we’re already at the end of January but because this is the first time The QQ published this year we feel obliged to say Happy New Year! To celebrate the coming of 2023 this edition of The QQ has more pages, more sections, and has a sharper design compared to last print’s ‘test-drive’ edition. We have a brand new ‘Sports’ section, give it a try! We’re also curious to what reaction the ‘Market News’ column will have, the Economics students will have to let us know.
We were all so happy to see students reading the last edition of The QQ
We would also like to say thanks to everybody who contributed to this amazing issue, as many people outside of The QQ wrote articles for this edition. But of course this newspaper would never exist without its reporters, who not only write fantastic stories but draw amazing illustrations.
We were all so happy to see students reading the last edition of The QQ, we never expected such a positive reaction. Thank you so much to all the readers, students, and teachers. You make it all worth it.

This is an issue that does its best to look forward. We know 2022 wasn’t a great year for most people in this world. But we would still like to talk about some of the great things that happened last year… The snow day comes to mind, as it will probably not happen again for some time. We don’t know about you, but we will never forget that day, it was so much fun. Tons of snow everywhere you looked, children and parents playing with the snow in the parks… Some people made snowmen, others made forts to protect themselves from snowballs. We’ve never seen so much snow in our lives, it just felt like we were in a Calvin & Hobbes comic strip.

We didn’t think we could go without mentioning the exciting prospect of changing buildings. With construction having started on the Norra Latin building, SIS is closer than ever to calling the new building home. The historic school building has been described as a dual Florentine Renaissance Palace. And we are some of the many people looking forward to the move. One student compared it to having ‘our very own Hogwarts experience’. The 2024 graduates hope they’ll be celebrating having taken their ‘studenten’ (graduation) outside the grand doors of Norra Latin. SIS is devoted to preserving the heritage of the building by protecting the floors and items during the renovation process. Let us know if you want more updates on the progress!
