The week started off on a cozy note with Pyjama Day! Many students came to school rocking their favorite PJs creating a relaxed, friendly vibe across campus. The highlight of the day was the Rock Paper Scissors challenge during morning break, where many students, and teachers, faced each other.
Tuesday saw the halls filled with “twins,” or even “triplets,” as friends coordinated their outfits for Clone Day. From matching colors to identical outfits, students got to be creative with their outfits, making it hard to tell friends apart!
House pride was front and center on Wednesday, with students donning their house colors and themed accessories to show their support. students proudly represented their houses, earning house points and participating in fun activities to boost their standings in the house championship.
Our school celebrated cultural diversity on Thursday with National Dress/Costume Day. This day was my personal favorite as students and staff wore attire that reflected their unique heritages. Adding to the significance of the day, our school celebrated UN Day with special activities led by DP students, who guided primary students through engaging cultural stations. We also had a notable guest speaker, Annika Sandlund from the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), who shed light on some major global crises and shared how the UN is working to address these challenges and support those affected.
And last but not least, Spirit Week concluded with a spooky twist on Friday with Halloween-themed dress day. I can tell students put a lot of thought and effort into perfecting their costumes for this day, creating unique and original costumes. The Student Planning Committee (SPC) also organized fun activities and gave out treats, bringing Spirit Week to a memorable close.
