While venturing through various committees, there were many outstanding moments which occurred. While monitoring the DISEC communities, the delegates were all eagerly participating, all ready and active to draft resolutions, propose amendments and more.
In DISEC 2 the delegates covered the topic regarding education of cyber security. The committee entailed a fascinating spectacle of the delegation of North Korea, fending off the whole committee single handedly. Like an impenetrable defensive wall, the delegate firmly stood his ground, refuting rebuttals. The discussions were heated and intense, everyone was restless and actively participated, leading to overtime in the moderated caucus.
In DISEC 3, in contrast to the one sided discussion, the committee was split into two opposing sides, where each side formed alliances. One side of the resolution proposed to stop cyber attacks between countries and assist cyber security, while the other side strongly objected to the resolution. There was a close gap in the voting process, which in the end was favoured towards the delegates of Ukraine, UAE, US and Spain.
Moving on to the UNHRC committees covering the topic of supporting refugees, the most interesting and exciting committee was UNHRC 2, where delegates witnessed a surprising turn of events. In the heat of discussion, Chad proclaimed a bold resolution, to utilize nuclear weapons and enrol refugees into military training
