Aaryan B. is the secretary-general of the school’s MUN club. He is essentially the leader, assigning tasks to the club members and doing the administrative work, he is the one that reaches out to other schools and sends emails to request their participation in school MUN events, expanding the school’s internationality. He is the supervisor that keeps things on track.
MUN is almost a sort of debate club, however a bit more complicated and interesting, it is a simulation of the UN, where students represent a country and have debates according to the countries point of view. This means that they must thoroughly research the country that they are representing and make sure they understand the country’s ideals.
Aaryan says that SISMUN day is a great opportunity for students to debate in a formal way, and an opportunity to learn how to collaborate and come up with solutions that can placate all parties involved. This will also give you skills that you can implement in your everyday learning and life, for example, public speaking and knowing global news. Aaryan says that MUN will strengthen your global mindedness and will give you a deeper understanding on how the UN works, and how countries interact with one another.
