The Quirky Quibbler spoke with the experienced SISMUN Secretary-General, Sabu S.

He spoke to the QQ about the differences between this year’s annual MUN conference and last year’s conference. This year the MUN board has put more pressure on themselves by inviting guests from other schools in the Nordic region, however they have coped well. This is the first time in recent years that SIS has hosted a conference like this with other schools. Authenticity is the priority this year and the SISMUN administrators have aimed to make the formatting as close to the UN resolutions as possible. There are only points of order and rather than having formal and informal debates, there are moderated and unmoderated caucuses.
After speaking to our guest delegates, we can see that this year’s SIS MUN conference has so far been a success. Although some of the guests found the procedures a bit different from other MUN conferences they’ve been to in the past, they are still enjoying SISMUN conference.
