Tension in the Air as Delegates Prepare!

SIS – MUN has been going wonderfully. The Quirky Quibbler had an opportunity to interview Swedish representatives in the Environmental Committee who said they were enjoying their conference. One of the delegates representing Belgium said that the conference felt like, “the champions league final in the 90th minute, with the deciding penalty”.

We also had the opportunity to interview a Chair from the Security Council, Sugar S, who said, ” Everything has been excellent so far with very well prepared delegates and excellent

organisation by the SIS-MUN leadership bringing communities together with a smart and welcoming setting”. The chair in the same committee made sure that the delegates were under a bit of pressure by reminding them of their time constraints.

As we walked around we could feel the the tension when people were preparing for the first speeches of the day. People were rereading their texts, making sure that their speeches didn’t have any mistakes. We could see delegates discussing with rather stressed facial expressions.
