Students VS Teachers Game Day

Grades 11 and 12 started the Spring term with a real BANG! As a part of the Fit For Nepal fundraiser, grades 11 and 12 were challenged to raise 5000 kr for the Nepal project at the end of last term. As a reward, and a motivation to get moving with Fit for Nepal, 11th and 12th grade students got the afternoon off classes to compete against each other and their teachers in a friendly competition of basketball and dodge ball.

The individual grades rounded up teams of students who wanted to participate in the exciting challenge. On Wednesday afternoon, the teams competed in the basketball and dodgeball tournaments. The 11th and 12th grade students cheered for their peers from the bleachers, hoping for their grades to win.

The basketball game began with fierce and friendly competition between the teacher and 12 grade team. Each team played off against each other, and at the end of the tournament 12th grade was in the lead, teachers in second place and 11th grade in 3rd place. With so many students and teachers wanting to participate, the dodgeball tournament ended up with 6 different teams, two from each group. After many well-played dodgeball games, 11th and 12th grade were tied, leading to the final game. The games ended with 12th grade once again in 1st place, 11th grade in 2nd and teachers in 3rd.

Overall it was a very close competition. Twelfth graders became the overall winners, earning themselves the first place cup. Eleventh grade and teachers ended up tied for second place. A fun way to kick off the year, and a fun first event to kick off the Fit for Nepal week starting next week!
