Gröna Lund fun!

Last Thursday grades 11 and 12 went to Gröna Lund as a fun way of getting to know each other. At school we don’t get a lot of time to talk, let alone get to know the other grade, so spending a day outside of school doing something fun was a nice difference.

At Gröna Lund we were greeted with breakfast. There was a lot to choose from, varying from sandwiches to yoghurts. We had quite a lot of time to sit around with friends before the activities started. We were divided into groups while the Gröna Lund employees explained the rules. Each team, consisting of 11th and 12th graders, walked around the park competing against each other in various games. Usually if you score certain amount of points in those games you can win a prize but our job was to keep score and try to get as many points as we could.

All the students could test out their skills on challenges such as slingshot, shooting, boom ball and skeeball. All the activities were fun and some of us discovered skills we didn’t know we had. After we finished with all the stations, we could walk around and participate in things we especially enjoyed. I, for example, spent over 20 minutes trying to score as high as possible at skeeball and just as much time trying to shoot down clowns with sand bags. The scores were announced at the end of the day, with the winning team being awarded a huge candy treat. The whole day was so much fun and I know everyone else enjoyed it as much as I did.
