To start this year’s SISMUN conference off, we spoke to the Under Secretary General, Seol Li, to get an insight into yesterday’s opening ceremony. This year’s theme is Risks to Global Security.

We are excited to welcome the following schools to take part in our conference:

Albanian College Tirana, Albania

Dorenweerd College, The Netherlands

Lorentz Lyceum, The Netherlands

Kristiansand International School, Norway

It is the first time we have had schools from The Netherlands and Albania here with us. The Albanian College Tirana is thinking of holding their own MUN conference in the near future, so they will be looking closely at what we do.

At the opening ceremony there was a kahoot about the laws in the UN and Security Council. Surprisingly, students did not know much about this. Let’s hope they learn a lot during today’s conference!

The day will end with an assembly, where two speakers will join us. The Naval Attache of the US in Sweden as well as the Ambassador of Belarus.
