Spirit Week – 2025
Our school celebrated Spirit Week, a fun-filled event that brought students and staff together through creative themes and united the school spirit. Each day featured a unique theme, encouraging everyone to express themselves and participate in the festivities.
Monday – Be the Light
The week began on a bright note with “Be the Light” day. Students and teachers embraced the theme by wearing light-colored clothing, creating a cheerful and uplifting atmosphere throughout the school. It was a great way to start the week and to support the Nepal project.
Tuesday – Decades Day
Tuesday was a journey through the decades, each house represented a different era:
- Water: 70s
- Fire: 80s
- Air: 90s
- Earth: 00s
Although participation was a bit lower compared to other days, the 80s theme clearly stood out with its bright neon colors and bold fashion choices.
Wednesday – Halloween Day
Halloween Day was one of the highlights of the week, especially for middle school students. Costumes of all kinds filled the halls, from spooky to creative. The day concluded with a Halloween party for the middle school students after school, where students celebrated together and showed off their costumes.
Thursday – Pyjama Day
Pyjama Day was the crowd favorite. Students and teachers arrived in their pyjamas, creating a relaxed and fun atmosphere. The simplicity of the theme made it one of the most inclusive days, helping everyone feel comfortable and connected. It was a reminder that school spirit doesn’t always need to be elaborate to be meaningful.
Friday – UN Day
The week concluded with UN Day, celebrating global unity and cultural diversity. The day began with a UN Parade during the first two periods, featuring students representing different countries from around the world. The event was well-received, and many students shared positive feedback about how they enjoyed the parade and learning about other cultures.
Throughout the week, members of the House Leadership Committee visited classrooms and noted points to the students that were dressed up accordingly. The results were incredibly close. Fire House finished second place with 135 points, while the Earth House, earned 139 points and claimed the win for spirit week.
Spirit Week successfully brought the school community together through creativity, laughter, and participation. From neon colors to pajamas and international celebration, the week was filled with enthusiasm and teamwork reminding everyone of the vibrant spirit.
