During the first break I spoke to Karin, Mason and Hugo from Grade 6 to ask them about their opinions on how the first part of MUN went. They all positive impressions, and found it very fun even though they had never done it before. They all excitedly shared how they were looking forward to doing their punishments at the end of the day.
The reprimands stem from not following the rules for example using personal pronouns, talking while another delegate is speaking or going on your computer. They entail doing push ups, “rizz” someone in the class, or dance for 2 minutes. “The best punishment is doing the macarena!”.
Their committee discussed climate change in the south pole, a very important topic for the next generation. They found the best thing about MUN was the gossip box.
