On April 2, the primary school community gathered in the Aula for a lively and memorable Hat Day Parade. The event brought together a large number of students, performers, and audience members for a joyful celebration filled with music, energy and creativity.
The program opened with a special tribute to Mr Jerry and Ms Leon, creating a meaningful start to the event. It was a touching moment that set the stage for performances that followed and reminded everyone of the importance of community in school life.
One of the most cheerful parts of the day was seeing everyone wearing hats. From playful and colourful designs to Fedoras and Cowboy hats, the hats added fun and personality to the parade and made the aula feel even more special.
The performance featured many different groups from across the primary school. The audience enjoyed pieces by the Orff Ensemble, Junior Choir and students from Kindergarten all the way to grade 5, along with Recorder Club and Ukulele Club. Songs such as Viva La Vida, North Pole Rock ’n’ Roll!, Ho, Ho, Hotaru Koi, Nilla, Nilla, and Sarantanani gave the event a wonderful mix of styles and sounds.
Students performed with enthusiasm and confidence, and their excitement spread throughout the room. The audience stayed engaged from the beginning to the end, responding warmly to each group and helping create a supportive atmosphere.
The Hat Day Parade was a great success and a wonderful example of the talent, teamwork and school spirit in the primary school. It was an event full of music, smiles, and memorable moments that many will remember for a long time.
